Project brief
Black Friday Email Campaign
Designing an urgency-driven email campaign to convert subscribers before Black Friday.
The goal was to sell through a limited quantity of Ringer Tees before Black Friday by giving subscribers a compelling reason to purchase before the main holiday sale.
I developed the campaign around a focused conversion strategy by using scarcity, personalization, promotional incentives, and clear calls to action to move subscribers from attention to purchase.
STRATEGY
Creating a reason to act now.
With Black Friday approaching, the campaign needed to give subscribers a reason to purchase before waiting for the larger holiday shopping moment. I centered the email on the Ringer Tee and built the messaging around scarcity, personalization, and a time-sensitive offer.
SCARCITY
“ONLY 100 LEFT” gives the product a clear sense of limited availability and creates a reason to act before Black Friday.
PERSONALIZATION
Messaging such as “Emily, shop the Ringer Tee” makes the promotion feel more direct and relevant to the individual subscriber.
INCENTIVE
A 20% discount using code FRIDAY20 gives subscribers an immediate benefit for purchasing before the main holiday sale.
FOCUSED ACTION
The campaign keeps returning attention to the featured product and purchase CTA rather than introducing multiple competing conversion goals.
CONTENT DESIGN
Turning urgency into hierarchy.
I translated the strategy into an email designed for quick scanning: bold promotional messaging establishes urgency, product imagery keeps the Ringer Tee central, and concise copy leads the reader toward repeated opportunities to purchase.
Emily, your Black Friday deals are waiting
REFLECTION
Conversion starts with focus.
This project reinforced how much email strategy depends on prioritization. By giving the campaign one primary conversion goal, I could use urgency, personalization, promotional messaging, and visual hierarchy to support the same action rather than compete for attention.
